‘The African Bee’ is my alter ego but BINX is my name. I’m an Avant-Garde Pop musician from South Africa, where I’ve had a No.1 Hit Song and played a 10 stadium show to ten thousand people as well as performed at The South African Traditional Music Awards.
I have performed at the US Open and my latest single, “Space DJ’ is on Sirius XM. I am now based in Beverly Hills and I am helping to save the bees with my music as well as promoting positivity, self-love and ambition. I sing in three different languages including; English, Afrikaans and Xhosa and I have been featured in The New Yorker, Seventeen Magazine and People Magazine.
I almost gave up a career in music because I lost a family member. Instead, I worked hard to channel their energy into everything I create and keep their spirit alive.
I believe that we are the only obstacle standing in between our dreams and our successes. Make a choice to start the thing you have always wanted to do, today and nurture the relationships around you as they are the most important thing on Earth.
I am currently recording my latest full album which will be released in September or October of 2019. The first single will be out 13th of September on my Dad’s Birthday.
