I’m Danielle Steyn. I’m 24 years old and I am currently in my 4th and final year in my degree for emergency medical care. I model and dance part-time. The beauty of doing modelling and dancing is the sense of empowerment. It’s in no sense degrading as I have the choice in what I do and what I say yes to. It generates a good income if I were to do it full time. But also allows me money for when I’m studying and allows me a breather to do something I enjoy and have a passion for. It is such an empowering feeling dancing on stage and for 1000s of people. There is nothing like it. You feed off the energy and it creates a burning passion. It is so much fun and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
