Hi my name is Tasmin Vorster, I’m a 31 year old woman still on my road to self discovery and purpose fulfilment. This road has been full of tremendous ups and downs as I’m sure everyone reading can relate. My adulthood journey started at 20 years of age when I took on the world of modelling. Little did I know the amount of hard work and perseverance this would ultimately take. But I remained true to my dreams and eventually after years of basically getting nowhere fast I was given the opportunity to try my luck at the international market.
The only sacrifice being giving up everything I owned and a life I would leave behind. Yet knowing that nothing good comes from being stuck in a comfort zone, I sold what I could and gave away what I could not. Ultimately it was just me and one suitcase of clothes that made it across the sea to Beijing China to start the journey that would ultimately change my life on every way possible.
Four years later, after traveling to over 10 countries, I can only say that I would not change my decision at all. We grow when we get out of that old comfort zone in ways I can’t even begin to describe. I may not yet have found my purpose but I definitely found ME.
My advice to anyone is take the risks, make the move and roll with the punches 🙂
We are all capable of so much more that we could even begin to comprehend!
