Laura Gheorghe: My journey began at the age of 16 when I first tried my hand at makeup on my best friend. I discovered how much I enjoyed it—it truly made me happy. Unfortunately, pursuing a career in makeup wasn’t an option at the time, as my parents weren’t familiar with this profession or its potential. Instead, I followed a different path, studying Finance and Banking.

Over the years, I changed several jobs, but none of them felt right. I struggled to find my true calling, and eventually, the weight of living a life that didn’t align with my needs took its toll. I started experiencing panic attacks and severe anxiety. Looking back, I realized it was because I wasn’t listening to myself—I was prioritizing making others happy instead of following my own dreams.

In that pivotal moment, with the little savings I had, I decided to invest in myself. I signed up for my first makeup course, wondering if the passion I had discovered as a teenager was still alive. To my joy, it was.

From that point on, I fully committed to my passion. I immersed myself in studying makeup, practicing diligently, and expanding my knowledge. My goal was, and still is, to offer the best services and bring joy to others through my work.

How do you maintain work-life balance, and what strategies or resources can we share to help other women entrepreneurs prioritize their well-being?

Laura Gheorghe: Maintaining work-life balance as a woman entrepreneur is an ongoing process that requires self-awareness, discipline, and prioritizing well-being alongside professional success. Setting clear boundaries between work and personal time is crucial, such as defining working hours, turning off notifications, and dedicating specific time to family and self-care. Prioritizing self-care as a non-negotiable appointment, whether through exercise, mindfulness, or relaxation, helps recharge both mind and body. Delegating tasks and outsourcing responsibilities, like administrative work or social media management, allows for greater focus on meaningful work, while embracing flexibility ensures that balance is achieved over time rather than daily. Building a strong support system, whether through friends, family, or entrepreneur communities, provides encouragement and practical help, and celebrating small wins along the way keeps motivation alive.

What personal and professional goals would you like to achieve in the next year, and how can we create opportunities for collaboration and mutual support among women entrepreneurs to achieve these goals?

Laura Gheorghe: As we step into this brand-new year, my greatest wish is to inspire more people and to create with even greater intention, pouring my heart and soul into everything I do. This year represents a fresh start, an opportunity to channel my passion and creativity into projects that not only bring joy and beauty to the world but also leave a lasting impact on those I touch.

I aspire to spark inspiration in others, not just through my work but by embodying authenticity, resilience, and kindness. Whether it’s through the art I create, the words I share, or the connections I build, I hope to encourage people to pursue their dreams, embrace their unique journeys, and believe in their potential.

At the core of my vision is a deep desire to create with purpose—whether that’s through makeup artistry, teaching, or simply sharing moments of genuine connection. I want my work to reflect not just skill but the love and care that go into every detail, reminding people that beauty is not just about appearance but about how it makes you feel.

This year, I am determined to go beyond simply achieving goals; I want to make a difference. I aim to challenge myself to grow, to learn, and to step out of my comfort zone so that I can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to everything I do. And most importantly, I hope to connect with more incredible individuals, sharing stories, exchanging energy, and building a community rooted in inspiration and mutual support.

How do you think female entrepreneurs can inspire and empower each other, and what role can we play in fostering a strong and supportive community of women entrepreneurs?

Laura Gheorghe: We should begin by genuinely admiring and appreciating the incredible women around us and the work they do. Every woman has a unique story of perseverance, creativity, and determination, and by acknowledging their contributions, we create a culture of encouragement and respect. When we choose to be kind and supportive toward those around us, it not only uplifts them but also paves the way for our own growth and success. Kindness has a ripple effect, fostering positivity and building connections that help everyone reach greater heights.
