Tell Us Your Story

Anesca Swart: I followed the normal route—school, tertiary education, job in corporate. But I knew I was destined for so much more. In 2014, I started competing in fitness shows and won the IFBB Beach Bikini title four years in a row. Despite this success, my corporate job felt uninspiring, and I grew tired of the same routine, being overlooked for promotions, and not making a lasting impact.

I ventured into network marketing in 2020 after experiencing a corporate restructuring that made me realize job security is a myth. I started my own online business, which I initially ran part-time, but it became overwhelming. I eventually left that and began trading in 2024—starting with no experience. The company I joined follows a network marketing model, allowing me to help others start their own online businesses while learning about financial markets.

It is incredibly fulfilling to help people take control of their financial future and build something that could create generational wealth. I am driven by community and take a hands-on approach to work closely with people in achieving their goals. My passion lies in helping women become independent and strong—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Everything can be learned; we just need to be willing.

What are the most common challenges you’ve observed facing women entrepreneurs in your industry, and how can we work together to create solutions and resources to overcome them?

Anesca Swart: The biggest challenge is limiting beliefs. Many myths persist in my industry—such as the idea that only men can succeed or that you need to be exceptionally smart. These are just fears of the unknown. Women often settle for comfort and stability instead of taking risks.

To overcome this, we need to share our success stories and provide hands-on guidance. By demonstrating our daily actions and showing how progress is made, we can help women understand that success is possible, despite life’s many responsibilities. Mentorship and accountability play a vital role in this.

What does a typical day in your life as an entrepreneur look like, and how can we share these insights to build a sense of community and understanding among women entrepreneurs?

Anesca Swart: I start my day at the gym, then plan my schedule around meetings and priorities—since I still have my corporate job, which I enjoy. Time management is crucial, and I use the Pomodoro technique to stay focused.

We can share these insights through networking events, online workshops, and Q&A sessions where women can exchange productivity strategies. These initiatives build community and encourage growth by providing practical advice and support.

How do you maintain work-life balance, and what strategies or resources can we share to help other women entrepreneurs prioritize their well-being?

Anesca Swart: Work-life balance is only possible if you make it a priority. It requires sacrifice, but it is essential. I make time for the gym every morning—sometimes before my family wakes up. Taking frequent breaks during the workday is also beneficial.

Some find journaling or meditation helpful, while others, like me, unwind with self-care activities such as getting my nails or hair done. Being aware of your energy levels and knowing when to step back and breathe is key to long-term success.

What personal and professional goals would you like to achieve in the next year, and how can we create opportunities for collaboration and mutual support among women entrepreneurs to achieve these goals?

Anesca Swart: I aim to become a six-figure dollar earner in my business and lead a team of women I can mentor and work alongside. Collaboration is key, and visibility is everything.

Networking events, storytelling, and accountability partnerships can fast-track success. By sharing knowledge and experiences, we can help each other navigate challenges and reach our goals more efficiently.

How do you think female entrepreneurs can inspire and empower each other, and what role can we play in fostering a strong and supportive community of women entrepreneurs?

Anesca Swart: Mentorship and networking are crucial. Women thrive when they feel supported and seen. Unfortunately, there is often a belief that only a few can succeed at the top.

We need to foster an environment of collaboration over competition. Sharing knowledge, being authentic about our journeys, and celebrating each other’s victories—big or small—will help create a community where every woman feels empowered to dream bigger.
